Dr. Savak Teymoorian is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in both premium cataract surgery and interventional glaucoma at Harvard Eye Associates. Dr. Teymoorian provides patients with a full range of eye care in these areas utilizing the newest advancements in technology and services available for these diseases.

For patients with cataracts, Dr. Teymoorian’s individualized planning and care is tailored to  maximize options with visual goals. His approach includes the ability to select from the entire spectrum of intraocular lens (IOL) options ranging from presbyopia correcting and multifocal platforms to astigmatic enhancement. For those with glaucoma, Dr. Teymoorian can offer the full range of possible treatment therapies such as pharmacological, laser, injection, and surgical methods including the use of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). And for those patients with both cataracts and glaucoma, he can uniquely combine specialized treatment options to address each simultaneously to enhance visual outcomes.

Dr. Teymoorian spent a decade at the University of California, Irvine, completing his education. This includes graduating from the highly selective UC Irvine MD/MBA program. While at the Merage School of Business, Dr. Teymoorian focused on marketing and organizational behavior. Dr. Teymoorian then moved to the Midwest where he completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and was elected by faculty to serve as Chief Resident in his final year. After residency, he returned to California to complete advanced specialized training in glaucoma at Stanford University.

Dr. Teymoorian is honored to consistently speak and present at conferences, domestically and internationally. He focuses on educating peers in advanced cataract and glaucoma skills including those new on the horizon by collaborating with industry as a key option leader. This includes developing and studying new medications, devices, and surgeries that aspire to gain approval for use in the United States. He also provides humanitarian work abroad in these areas to those underserved and underprivileged that don’t have access to needed care.
