Dr. Seiju Terada graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry, in 1983 after receiving his undergraduate degree with honors in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. His training includes rotations at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto and at the Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco.
Dr. Terada has worked in private practice since 1983. He has been a clinical associate of several excellent private ophthalmology practices that specialized in refractive surgeries, advanced cataract and corneal procedures, and glaucoma.
Dr. Terada is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has also served as President on the board of the Asian American Optometric Society. He has many years of experience fitting specialty contact lenses for those who have unique corneal conditions and who require post-surgical care.
Dr. Terada lives in Orange County with his wife Chris, who is also a practicing optometrist, and sons Gregory and Tyler. They enjoy camping, hiking, and skiing. He is also involved in coaching youth basketball, in assisting his son’s boy scout troop, and in active participation in his church. He is bilingual, speaking fluent Japanese.
