When it comes to your eyes, Dr. Ashraf Ahmad is the best doctor possible. A few years ago, I noticed blurry vision and was unable to read my laptop, which distressed me as a teacher. My first cataract specialist was so business-minded and scared me that I must get my cataract surgery quickly since I could lose my eyesight. Then my friend recommended Harvard Eye after an extensive search for a good Eye Surgeon. I was ready to get my cataract surgery, but suddenly got Recurrent Erosion Syndrome of the Cornea in my right eye thus postponing my surgery.I was so depressed that my surgery was postponed. Then I learned that Dr. Kiersten was retiring and moving to Iowa. Luckily, she referred me to Dr. Ahmad. Something caught my eye as I walked to the elevator. There was Dr. Ahmads profile with an impressive description of his background as a Cornea and Cataract Surgery specialist, and I quickly made an appointment.I was so grateful for finding him since he promptly came up with a thorough pre-treatment plan and put me at ease. It allowed my syndrome to resolve in 4 months and another 2 months for my cornea to heal completely. On the day of my cataract surgery, Dr. Ahmad and the nurses diligently reviewed my long list of medications and allergies. With his excellent bedside manner, Dr. Ahmad put me at ease before the surgery. I said, I am ready as I can be and I prayed for you and me to be successful. I confidently went for my right eye surgery with complete faith in God and Dr. Ahmad. He carefully took measurements on the laser machine, to ensure my eye was ready for surgery. Next thing, I was on my way home with a shield and dark glasses to protect my eyes. After 4 hours, I was able to remove the shield patch and add drops. It was like a miracle that with just one eye cataract surgery, I was able to see colors brightly and beautifully with my new PanOptix lens with Presbyopia to correct my astigmatism. Amazingly, the next day at the office I was able to read with 20/30 vision with a broad smile since I could not see any letters previously. After traveling for Thanksgiving, I got the left eye cataract surgery done after a month. Once again, Dr. Ahmad diligently did the pre-op checks on the laser machine, and allowed my eye about 20 minutes to be ready. Then he returned and did my surgery successfully. The following day, I noticed the letters were really dark black on the computer and was elated about not using glasses for reading, watching TV, or driving.I am so thankful to Dr. Ahmad for not rushing to do the surgery. He took time to make sure my right eye cornea abrasion was completely healed unlike other doctors. I am able to write this review with my new eyes. He has great bedside manners not only with me, but also others from what I hear. I would recommend him 200% to anybody who has dry eyes, Cornea and Cataract
