I cant say enough nice things about Harvard Eye Associates. Dr. T. is fantastic, and took this terrified patient through cataract surgery on both eyes, at separate times, with kindness, professionalism and fantastic surgical skills. His calm, friendly, confident approach worked well for me and that made eye surgery, which I think in anyones book is kind of scary, not be quite as terrifying. Im not saying I didnt have some jitters I did, but all of the surgical staff were professional, warm and friendly which kept me calm. The best decision I ever made was to run not walk away from that other eye place, it was the best decision I ever made.

The best clinic for eye issues. I haveage related macular degeneration. Dr Kim has been the best doctor, I could be so lucky to have. His team are the very best and I trust them with my eye health. You should too.I had only one problem with getting the new eye glasses. The younger oriental gal straightened it out for me and I just was treated rudely by the short haired, older lady who was speaking to me rather harshly every time I signed in to buy glasses. The first time she refused to serve me. I waited 30 minutes. Before my scheduled eye shot. Completely missing the chance to upgrade my lenses.I tried again a month later. I rushed to the younger gal who was very nice and quickly pick new lenses (that are a bit tight) and no visible prices.Luckily I was given a prescription when I had a cataract looked at, but they charged me additionally $60 for an exam I already paid for.I had to pick up glasses with dialated eyes. . It took three tries to get the younger gal to help me renew my lenses. They also didnt warn me about the price ahead of time.Next time Ill go to Lens Crafters for glasses. It cost me $1000 for new glasses. I dont see them better than my old pair they would not use the frames. My sugession is to fire the older lady who is so rude. When went to pick up my glasses I got that older lady again. She was so rude it startled me when she yelled Dont sit down, that I almost fell over my cane. Luckily Dr Kims nurse practitioner was guiding me and caught me before I fell. My toe was injured and turned blue.Harvard Eye Clinic should fire her. I wanted to have a g old experience to tell my friends and family. One bad apple can spoil a great clinic.I just wont buy glasses there again!

I had the precursor to Lasik back in 1995 - RK, radial keratotomy, with 8 incisions in each eye, one eye altered for presbyopia and the other for myopia, on top of severe astigmatism. For many years I was free of glasses! No regrets! But as I have aged, every year my prescription has gotten stronger and stronger making me dependent on glasses 24/7. I wanted some freedom!!Initially visited Harvard Eye Association about Lasik Eye surgery. The staff was exceptional! They explained all the numerous tests, scans and imaging that would help determine my eligibility for Lasik. It was discovered he reason for my fluctuating vision throughout the day was from dry eyes! Despite the OTC eye drops I had been using constantly, I needed a prescription strength eye drop to alleviate my symptoms. Once that was under control, Harvard Eye Association were able to reassess my eyes. While I wasnt a candidate for Lasik and too mild a degree of glaucoma, I was fitted for contacts that I could wear when not wanting to wear glasses. The surgeon, Dr. Hovanesian, was frank and honest with me about what the results would be with a surgery. Not something he would recommend for his sister, if she had the same history and test results I did. I appreciated his candor. He handed me over to his colleague, Dr. Choi, who then tested my vision for updated contacts and a new eye prescription. Now that my eyes are happy with the twice daily eye drops, and I have the freedom to wear contacts when I wish, I am loving my new outlook! Course had to get some new glasses that Nexy and the optical team were fun to work with in finding the most flattering and uniquely me eye glasses! Even my husband is now a happy patient at Harvard Eye Association!

Cataract Surgery Testimonial, Allan Holdsworth

Allan Holdsworth

“I am writing to thank you and your staff so very much indeed for reuniting me with the world. It’s amazing! (Whilst it did take me a minute to figure out whom I was looking at in the mirror.)

As a musician, my deteriorating vision was really affecting my work and I was beginning to struggle. Even so, I had no idea just how poor my vision really was until after my first surgery. Now it is hard for me to remember or imagine what it was like for me (or anyone else suffering from the same condition) going trough life literally in the dark. Not only has it recharged my working career, enabling me to see my instrument and studio equipment dials, but it has also recharged many other aspects of my life as well.

So again, I would like to thank you very much for giving me a new lease on life. You took the “fear factor” out of a scary procedure, making everything so very patient-friendly. I always knew I was in the best of hands.”
