When I was in my 40s I was diagnosed with Glaucoma. I was told I would go blind unexpectedly by the Ophthalmologist. I changed doctors. 30 years later I have both Glaucoma and Cataracts. Luckily for me I ended up with an appointment with Dr. Savak Teymoorian, who is an expert in an innovative treatment for people with both Glaucoma and Cataracts. Dr. Teymoorian told me I was in a sweet spot where an operation to replace the lens and perform an Optiwave Refractive Analysis (goniotomy) would have the greatest benefits. Well, the benefits have been immeasurable. My trust and faith in Dr. Teymoorian was validated by the absolute improvement in my eye sight and general Glaucoma symptoms. For example, I didnt realize I did not need my reading glasses until I noticed they were still in my drawer. I didnt feel nervous driving because the white lines were very clear. I didnt feel any eye discomfort. In other words, my operation changed certain aspects in the quality of my life. If you have Glaucoma and Cataracts, get this operation if you are a good candidate sooner than later so you benefit in having stronger eyes. The down-side is your insurance will not cover this procedure so it can be expensive. However, if you can afford it, it is worth the expense. Finally, Dr.Teymoorian has great follow-up and will work with you to maximize the benefits of the operation. Please do not think this procedure is only for rich folks. It is for anyone who values their eye sight. We have all read the horror stories so you decide if you want a trusted professional or risk your eye sight.

My husband had cataract surgery with Dr. Teymoorian in August 2023. Dr. Teymoorian is a skillful surgeon, knowledgeable, easy going, on time, pleasant, receptive to questions and kind. My husband is extremely pleased with the outcome of his surgery. Dr. Teymoorian took a history of my husbands needs, preferences, use of contact lenses, glasses, etc and together they determined which type of lenses would be best for him. The experience at Harvard Eye Associates at Laguna Hills has been fantastic. We have been impressed with Dr. Teymoorian and all of his staff. Our favorites are Amy and Tanya. Amy organizes everything, tells you everything and hands you everything so there are simply no unanswered questions and everything is written down and much of what you really need is organized into a list or a chart for ease of use. The world needs more Amys! Tanya is one of many at the front desk. You will be lucky if the odds are in your favor and you are in her queue. The center is large, well run with everyone knowing their job, being professional and doing it well. Tanya is a warmth there that is hard to explain. Its just who she is and very much welcomed. Its her smile, her eye contact, her friendliness and simply, just her. The world needs more Tanyas. My husband and I did not go lightly into the decision of who would do surgery on his eyes. We did our research beforehand and we are both so pleased with his decision to choose Dr. Teymoorian and to go to the Alicia Surgery Center in Laguna Hills.
