I am so glad I worked with Dr Ahmad and Harvard Eye Associates for my Light Adjustable Lens procedure and could not be happier with the outcome. I had met with two different companies and doctors when I was diagnosed with Cataracts. The first local company said they would do the procedure and install the LAL and it would address the distance vision, but I would only need reading glasses. I felt comfortable with the ophthalmologist but when I had additional questions, their patient coordinator would not call me back after leaving VM messages. Only after sending an email did I receive a return phone call and even then, if I wanted to move forward and left message to inquire about potential dates for the LAL procedure, I did not hear back.Fortunately I also set an appt with Dr. Ahmad and Harvard Eye. Night and day experience. He suggested monovision so I would not need glasses for reading or distance. I was not sure because in doing my research, some are not comfortable with monovision. What I loved was that they were going to give me a trial run by setting me up with contact lenses to see if it would work for me. I had no problems with it so I decided to proceed with him. Even all of my follow up visits he and the the rest of the staff were amazing to work with. I also liked that prior to my adjustments, I had the opportunity to work with the optometrist so I could try on lenses to give me an idea of what my vision would be like after the adjustments and prior to lock in and also used their experience to provide Dr Ahmad with the refraction info. They truly worked as a team to give me the best possible outcome. He as an ophthalmologist did all of the LAL adjustments and lock in. They were patient and not in a rush to perform my procedure allowing me the time and opportunity to try monovision using contact lenses, which the other firm did not even suggest!Almost a year later and I am so happy I went with them. It has been life changing as I dont need glasses anymore, something I have not experienced since I was 12 years old!Thank you Dr Ahmad and Harvard Eye Associates.

Dr. Jacobs is very thorough, does a wonderful job. The surgery center staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Everything was explained in detail and my husband is very pleased with the result.
