Mary Anne O’Connell, RN, is the medical aesthetics nurse at Harvard Eye Associates. She has over 12 years’ experience as a registered nurse in many fields including facial plastic surgery, oculoplastics, aesthetics and functional ophthalmology. Mary Anne completed her nursing education at Saddleback College where she graduated cum laude with an Associate of Science degree. She completed an ICU specialty internship at Mission Hospital and participated in an honors workshop in human prosection in association with Saddleback College. Mary Anne developed a deep interest in the field of facial aesthetics after working with a board certified plastic surgeon in both the operating room and clinic for over six years. Pursuing that endeavor, she completed a continuing education training program on BOTOX® and dermal fillers at the University of Irvine School of Medicine where she trained under the direction of one of the country’s leading injectors. She completed the program and became certified in the use and application of BOTOX® and dermal fillers. She participates in various continuing education events throughout the year to keep up-to-date on the latest advances in aesthetic medicine.
Mary Anne has a passion for sharing her free time with terminally-ill patients and was named Volunteer of the Year in 2006 at Hospice of Saddleback Valley. Mary Anne is known for her warm personality and amazing sense of humor. She is married with two children and resides in Laguna Beach, California.
